Upcyclisten is a small workshop based in Germany making one-of-one furniture and home pieces from reclaimed materials — pallet wood, factory leftovers, retired cabinetry from old kitchens, and the occasional piece of brutalist concrete we couldn't bear to see skipped.
See the projectsWe don't run a catalogue. Every piece is made from whatever material we have in the yard that month, in conversation with the client about what they need. The projects below are examples of finished work.
From three EUR pallets and a steel frame. Stained dark, sealed for indoor use. For a Berlin hallway.
Built from a 1980s Schrankwand the client was throwing out. Re-cut, re-finished, fitted with a butcher's block top.
From a slab a building site was disposing of. Larch from a small Bavarian forester's offcut pile. Sealed for outdoor weather.
What the piece needs to do, what room it goes in, rough dimensions. We talk about materials we have on the yard.
We find the reclaimed material that fits the brief. Sometimes it's already in the yard; sometimes we wait a few weeks.
Six to ten weeks at the bench. Updates and a stage photograph or two if you want to follow along.
Local delivery within Germany included. Beyond that we'll quote a courier or recommend an art-handler service.
Email with the piece you'd like, the rough dimensions, and what room it's for. We answer within a working day, in English or German.
